Cheeky Monkeys - Kindergarten (4 to 6 years)

The Kindergarten will continue with the Cheeky Monkeys’ aim to develop social, educational, physical and emotional skills of the children through interactive learning and best practice teaching.

Language

The language of instruction will be English with classes taught by qualified and experienced teachers.

Curriculum

We will follow the early learning goals set out by the U.K government and use modern materials developed to interest and stimulate the children. Oxford reading tree will be used as the basic course supported by ‘Developing Literacy’ and broad range of reading material. ‘Developing Numeracy’ will be the basis of mathematical work supported by a variety of practical activities.
Our aim will be to use quality educational materials in a carefully sequenced manner to allow each child to progress and meet their individual potential.

Year Groups

KG 1 Age 4 to 5 years (UK Reception year)
KG 2 Age 5 to 6 years (UK Year 1 – Key Stage 1)

School Year

The school year will start at the beginning of August each year and will be divided into four terms of approximately 10 weeks each.

Daily Timings

Kindergarten will run from 9.30am to 2.00pm Monday to Friday.

Lunch

Children may bring a packed lunch if they wish or we can provide a meal for an additional cost.

Uniform

All children will be asked to wear Cheeky Monkeys Kindergarten T shirts. This will make them feel part of a special group and T shirts are easily changed if little accidents happen in art and crafts!
We look forward to working with you to give your child an interesting and stimulating environment in which they can enjoy developing their skills to the full.
